oh man, so much of this i can relate to and deeply. and when you said you’ve been working on spiritual decolonization for about a decade my stomach sank- a sister 🥺. (stomach sank in the best way here)
had to subscribe so i stay in community. even though im a healer im still building the capacity to talk about my world. we all walk- that encourages my trust.
Thank you Sasadya, your comment is very encouraging. I actually want to interview more priestess, maybe in the americas too, I'm looking forward to its publication. It might take years but I trust it will happen in due time.
I hope someone accepts your article soon as I already can't wait to read it! On cats, a question just came to me - in my country cats are associated with witches but I now wonder to what extent this is influenced by our colonisation. I do love cats but even I must admit they're a weaker choice for a familiar 😅
Hey Masibanda! it's nice to see you in my comments. The article is 15 pages long so far and I plan to add more stuff so maybe at this point, what I need is an agent and a publisher? hahaha It's interesting that cats are associated with witches in your country (Zambia if i remember well?). I think it's definetely colonial influence. In my country they're just viewed as pets that help chase mice away and get eaten by some people when they roam around in the wrong areas🤣 I love cats too, I miss mine but it definetely would be a weaker choice of a familiar given all the animals we have in Africa 🤣
Love this. A lot. Fellow witch here, lineage unknown (eff colonialism). And yes to soaking up the sun, charging the body with all the good that comes from the stars. ♥️🫶🏽

Your manuscript honestly sounds so interesting. I’m glad you weren’t discouraged by the rejection. At the right time, it’ll come into the world.
Thank you Fatima. I know it will💜
